I never know what to do with Mad Catz products. They were something of the premier third-party controller company of their time, but pretty much everything I've bought from them over the past few years has been something of a flop - their Fightstick Alpha is no exception. After about 3 months of VERY light use (I can only play so much) and maybe 12-15 total gaming sessions, my fightstick just stopped working. Clearly it wasn't a mechanical fault, it just refused to do anything: all black, no response, no connection, etc. I've searched various forums and found that I'm not alone - there are several known defects. Since my warranty had expired a few days earlier, I shrugged and went ahead and bought a replacement stick. Take my advice, skip this one and buy another $20-$50 and you'll be glad you did. I would love nothing more than bringing back the old Mad Catz, but I won't hold my breath, it's coming soon.
