I needed something to lift up my computer screen, so I could place 1 laptop behind another on my work space. The rear computer - where this one is placed - only needs to have a viewable screen and then be controlled with a mouse. Mission accomplished.It is sturdy, holding anything from a Galaxy S-9 phone to a 17" laptop. I am very pleased with how it holds my devices.HOWEVER - if your needs are different - there are some things to think about - the angle is not good if you need to type. I feel that it bends my wrists at an awkward angle. As others have mentioned, the lid catches when the computer is tipped at the maximum angle. This doesn't matter to me, but you should know.LAST - I will need to use these when I'm on the road. I took this to local airport security & was advised it might not be best to put them in my carry-on. It will be a supervisor's call, and some will let it pass while others may not. Put it in your suitcase.
