This replacement dash gasket is junk. Put simply. The original worked great, but after not using it for a while it wasn't sticky enough to stick. I figured since it's the same manufacturer it would be an OEM replacement. Not even close. The new product uses a sort of supposed "semi-permanent" tape that didn't stick to the dash or the skin on the dash no matter how hard I pressed to make the connection. You can see in the photo that the old one (on the right) has a more gel-like adhesive and is also flexible. The replacement is stiff and has a flimsy band that just doesn't hold up enough.
