thought it would be a great purchase. I'll be back, no bass

I have a speaker and I did a test between my apple and the monster 200 that I just received. I wanted to use it for my runs. I hear everything but the song is terrible, no bass. I'm not sure what people are saying about bass. I don't have the ability to video capture the audio of these two, but can I get the noise reduction back? like if i still hear everyone so i dont think.
