I bought this product to finish work and hunting boots. Both pairs of boots were heavily worn, with the original trim mostly removed from the toe to about 4 inches from the toe. I treated both pairs and was happy with the result. The exposed "raw" leather has become significantly darker, making the boots more attractive. I haven't had boots in a wet environment before so I can't comment on the waterproofing of the product but I suspect it will help in that area. When applied, the product is practically odorless and has no residual odor. Overall I am satisfied with the product so far. Please note that Neatsfoot Compound causes noticeable skin darkening, so test it if you're concerned about appearance.
