I needed backup storage for my video and data folders and after much research I bought 2 of these 2TB drives and I'm perfect happy with it. She. An SSD was my initial choice, but I re-examined regular HDDs as the price difference was huge. What got me thinking was the reliability and small size of the ADATA drive. They're shockproof and waterproof, which is important, have a compact size (though slightly larger than an SSD of the same capacity) and a non-slip rubber sleeve. I just liked what I saw. In terms of performance, they're fast USB-3s. I've also had experience with SSD drives, which are faster, but ADATA drives aren't flimsy and for the intended purpose of backup, a little extra speed isn't an issue and certainly not worth the significant additional cost. It's important to note that data transfer speed depends on many factors besides drive type, and I seriously doubt that the average person would notice a difference in day-to-day use with a simple backup. For those who claim that xfer is slow, I strongly recommend looking at the factors that determine data transfer. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my choice.
