Pretty easy to install although my husband could do it and there were no instructions in the box so it may not be that easy for some. I bought it because it was reasonably priced, we were tired of waiting for Whirlpool to ship replacement parts, and I really wanted to use my top shelf in my dishwasher, which is less than a year old. After about six weeks of regular use, it cracked and my top shelf became unusable again. This is not my first dishwasher and prior to this disappointment with the dishwasher I have never had problems with broken moving parts, common rusty teeth etc which is common with most dishwashers - don't buy a dishwasher right away (Whirlpool WDT970SAHZ0). place so you don't have to deal with that frustrating spare part!
