I got a large in this but it fits like a medium. I do have somewhat larger shoulders. But this was tight across the whole top section of the dress - bust, shoulders, sleeves. I thought it was more of a t-shirt cotton. No, it's just a rough wrinkly cotton. It has no stretch. It has a keyhole closure at the back neck. This would fit someone with a little larger hip area. It came down to about mid ankle on me. I am 5'8". It's machine washable but I am sure it would shrink. I just can't wear it. I would suggest going up two sizes from your normal size. It would fit more accurately after washing.
