The cord is fine, most likely it's perfect for stringing beads etc. But if you're like me (and every other hobbyist seamstress at the moment), you're probably looking for an elastic cord to make cloth face masks, and you also have no idea how thin 1mm really is. It's really thin string; about the same diameter as dental floss or maybe a little larger, so it's not the best option for wrapping around the ears as it can dig into them a bit more than a larger diameter cord.
