To use an Apple Cinema Display with any modern graphics card, this is a wasteful missing part. I recently ordered an (obsolete) Apple Cinema Display (ACD) for use with my PC/OS X setup. Little did I know that the only input for an ACD was its MALE Mini DisplayPort (MDP), a cable used by the Advertisement. No bushings. I also ordered a relatively new EVGA GeForce 960 GTX FTW Edition graphics card and this adapter helped me connect to the ACD. The graphics card features a DisplayPort with a FEMALE (DP) connector for use with the MALE DP connector on the adapter. The FEMALE MDP on the adapter connects to the MALE MDP on the ACD to ensure flawless performance and crisp image quality. Thanks for the product!
