Review on ☔️ Stay Dry and Stylish with Foxelli Lightweight Hooded Rain Poncho by Adam Nikolz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seems to be great quality for the price.

UPDATE: First time use in light rain and strong winds, about 1.5 hours, hiking on relatively flat terrain, without a backpack. Holds up very well, the longer length was definitely an advantage over the Linenlux poncho. In the end, my lower legs and the lower sleeves of my jacket were wet where the poncho couldn't reach, but the rest of my body was dry. The drawstring around the hood was very important in strong winds and the visor protected my goggles from the rain. Very happy with my purchase overall. The only downside was that the poncho can be quite big and wavy and it's difficult to find holes for the sleeves to put hands in pockets (it was a bit cold), especially when it's windy. But the poncho is also intended as a tarp, so I can't complain about the size. Haven't used it yet but will try to remember to update if I do. I also bought a beige Linenlux poncho (700 Review One). From my limited experience, this one appears to be made from a more durable fabric. The built-in visor will probably come in very handy, especially if you wear glasses. From my cursory inspection, the visor is made out of some sort of cardboard that isn't easy to change - I think it would benefit from a better material. It doesn't have a pocket like the Linenlux, but I don't care as I probably won't get anything out in the pouring rain. It also falls lower than the Linenlux, which is great, especially with a backpack. And it was cheaper too.

Pros
  • MORE THAN A PONCHO: Foxelli raincoats are versatile and protect against bad weather. Use it as a camping blanket or sleeping bag cover. You can also use it as a tarp to cover your tent or prop it up for sun protection. The poncho comes in a tiny 3.5" x 9" pouch and weighs only 11 ounces. Slip it in your pocket, backpack or purse - it's so light and easy to carry that you don't even think about it until you need it.
