Cans for potatoes and onions

I like the size and color of the cans. I was very happy with it until I realized that the metal holding the handle on the canisters is very very sharp. I had them sitting on the floor as I put onions and potatoes in them and accidentally tripped over them and ended up with severe cuts on each of my legs before realizing the sharp metal end where it meets the wooden handle cut me. I tape the ends of the metal until I find another solution.
