These beautiful and durable bags can easily hold heavier or more pointed bags as they are made of jute. They are soft enough that you can easily put something like jewelry in them and I wouldn't worry about damaging them. The laces feel like strong rope and springs at the end where they were tied, but this adds to the overall effect of the bag's rustic look. The only real issue I have with these bags is the same as other similar bags. The pockets are not the same size. They differ from each other by up to half an inch. Which doesn't matter much if the item you're putting in is small, but if you're putting something in the pockets that's almost the size of the pocket, it'll make a big difference if it's half an inch smaller. Overall I like these bags and think they will work for most uses. However, I would look elsewhere if the item you wish to put in is almost the same size as the bag sizes listed as they may not be as large.
