Review on Rancho RS999316 RS9000XL Shock Absorber by Jack Robi

Not what a purchase should be. BAD!

I have included the message I sent to the Revain seller regarding my disappointment with these shock absorbers. That says it all. Also, at the request of the seller, I contacted Rancho tech support as they requested and after three days no response! Dear Sir or Madam, I still haven't heard from Rancho and it's not a difficult situation. The adjustment of these shock absorbers does not work. I'm a 6ft 3in male, weigh 210 pounds and can't turn the adjustment more than 1/4 turn. I watched videos on youtube and they turn the knobs easily. To expand a bit when looking at these shocks I was disappointed with the poor quality of the shock cylinders. If I were to bid I would say these shocks may have been returned under warranty, refurbished and resold. The cylinders have scratches and markings that appear to have been painted. I don't think that would be acceptable under normal quality control. Also, as I told Rancho, when the shocks are shaken there is a distinct sloshing of fluid in the shocks, one larger than the others. , even though Rancho said I would disassemble the handle assembly or try to twist it with pliers. I paid $115 each and expected a quality product in perfect condition and I didn't get that. That's why I don't want these hits. I've spent and spent a lot of time on something I shouldn't be bothered with at all. After all, I have nothing to gain from this! My time wasted and tormented by these tremors of the dam!
