Review on Enhanced SEO: Capri Tools CP21110-316 3/16 inch Double Flaring Tool by Yousef Abood

This is a nice little crimping tool but I wouldn't recommend it for cupronickel lines as they are too soft for that. It took me 15-20 torches to leak-free the line. My ends were PERFECT. cut with a pipe blade, deburr and deburr the end. The flare fitting (double flare) looked fine, but I can see that the end of the tube twisted when the die was screwed on. Not the whole tube, just the tip, which was flared. The tubing was bent in a circular motion just below the torch (and yes, I used the included grease on the die). The only way I was able to make ends meet was to polish them with 400 grit sandpaper before flaring. They still didn't look good, but when I actually turned them on, the dripping stopped. Not sure if it was a polish or if I just got lucky after so many tries. The steel line I cut to bare metal flared perfectly in one try, wish I had bought a coil of steel instead of copper/nickel! If you're using this with steel (I haven't tried stainless steel) I would recommend it. Two stars deducted because it's advertised as working with Cu/Ni and (unless I had a bad tube coil) it obviously doesn't.
