I was surprised at the comfort these sandals offered and loved the extra sock in the front. I've used them on the beach and in everyday situations. I'd say they're good for light adventures but maybe not strong enough for serious hiking. They are light and fit well although I should have ordered at least half a size smaller because the straps are velcro to keep my feet snug I have to pull the strap almost all the way. Watch your step too - I accidentally stepped on a plank with a nail head sticking out and it went right through the floor and tickled my foot.
