I found that the Aiboo track light cannot be adjusted to the position I want. The device is quite simple: one strip on each side of the central junction box and two indicators on each strip. I wanted to arrange two bars in a straight horizontal line to follow the hollow beam they are mounted on. I quickly found that this was not possible. As can be seen in the first photo, when the middle back box is attached with vertical mounting screws, the mounting holes for the two poles do not line up in a straight line. You must choose either vertical mounting screws or light bars in a straight line. You can't have both. I then quickly discovered that the mounting plate (shown in the second photo) is designed in such a way that it cannot be mounted with vertical mounting screws. At least if you have an existing box (the blue box in the photo) with screw holes for the panel in a vertical position, which isn't at all unusual. If you look closely at the photo, you can see that the screws attaching the middle light box are directly over the screw holes to attach the plate to the blue box. Therefore, the plate must be rotated left or right to align the slots in the mounting plate with the screw holes in the blue box. This causes the highly visible mounting nuts to be off-center, and the bars on each side of the center box deviate even further from the same horizontal line. This may not seem so bad at first, but remember that the two light bars (left and right bars) MUST be securely locked in their final position by tightening their respective nuts before screwing the center box onto the mounting plate . If you attempt to adjust the bars after installing the center box, the nuts will immediately loosen and gravity will take over and the bars will settle due to the weight of the bar and lights at each end. The nuts need to be tightened very firmly, so this must be done before attaching the center box to the wall. In summary, installation can be quite a challenge, and more importantly, don't assume you can position the lights, poles, and mounting nuts where you want them. You need to work around product design limitations. A final note, this unit does not come with LED bulbs. Many other track lights in this price range are equipped with LEDs.
