I bought this stand for a 23 inch Samsung monitor which stand broke (it was a cheap stand). Luckily the monitor had standard mounting holes. Installation was pretty intuitive (maybe because I've dabbled in assembling TVs and monitors before). If you see some reviews with ball joints, I don't have a ball joint, it has 2 joints that allow you to tilt in any direction. I'm not sure if mine is old or not. Because of this arrangement, however, the monitor sits a little further away. So it's about 7 inches from the wall and the back of the stand (back down) is all the way up. to the wall. If you have the space this is a great monitor. My kids tilt the monitor down to get a better view of the screen, but I have to tilt it up. This is mainly due to a not very good monitor and a chair that cannot be adjusted vertically. If depth is an issue, be sure to check other options. e expensive racks. If not, that's good.
