Okay, you know those rice paper, Japanese room dividers when you see them on sale for like $50 or less? Well I wanted to get rid of the Japanese look of the room divider as it doesn't match my decor. I stumbled across this product and ordered two packs. The PERFECT width to take the place of the white rice paper section of a room divider. I measured and found that I would need to order two boxes and cut out the bottom three "design squares". It took 15 pieces. The hardest thing for me was finding a small box of black nails. Well, heck, not even Home Depot had them, so I went to my charming hardware store and saw a box of black "nails" that were just right for this project. BTW, I used a total of six buttons just for the top two corner holes of the squares, and the rest just screwed together. I have a cat so wanted to make sure it was solid quality work. I also decided to cut the bottom three pieces at the bottom of each panel so they would go over the ebony paneling and then I cut out the white round double sided adhesives that come in the boxes just around the bottom three squares help stick. lay flat In fact, it's good to see that the project now marks an interesting approach to the room divider, otherwise blah - I think. Tip: Use the same bead of the silver chain to attach it so it's consistent. I found that a bit of time was spent learning how to work with silver chains so I sped up the project so as not to get bored - an hour together in two days I'd say. The black square pieces you will see have a glossier side and a matte black side. You want to place the matt black side on the outside so that the eye can see through. Sorry for such a long review, but I'm always happy when I see someone taking the time to make it so I can copy someone else's idea for a project. .This company offers a variety of styles to choose from - enjoy. The only problem I have now is what to do with the extra nine squares I didn't use :)
