Works very well! After applying the henna over the stencil, I immediately removed the stencil and just let the henna dry. Leaving the stencil in place after applying the henna can smear it, so just remove it after you've applied it evenly. Some templates are designed for both the right and left hand. I only used scissors to place my fingers if the stencil I wanted was for the hand I didn't want. It turned out great! :-)
