Purchased to import some of my photos and video clips from my GoPro camera and other devices to my iPad for later editing. This works great, no errors. Simply insert your SD card into the slot and go to the Files app and navigate to the "Untitled" selection to select files from the SD card. Then move the files to your iPad or other root folders for editing as needed. I was expecting a lot since it costs less than half the Apple version, but to my surprise it works well and is straightforward. Highly recommended if you need to move files to and from iOS devices.
