The Sylvania dimmable LED bulb I bought was intended to replace a dimmable ceiling fan. The bulb to be replaced actually still works perfectly. I wanted to switch to LED for longevity and the prospect of not finding dimmable incandescent bulbs in the future. Well it was a complete failure. When I flipped the switch, the bulb didn't light up immediately. I had to fiddle with the switch to turn it on. It then started flickering and dimming before the switch was fully on, trying to get it up to its maximum brightness level. So back to the drawing board.
