Review on 🥤 Koolatron KMJ-01 Total Chef Power Juicer with Stainless Steel Design by George Walker

I bought this juicer based on reviews in January last year. I had an accident and to this day I have not been able to make juice from garden produce. I opened the box and found that the preformed cardboard was torn at the top. It says there is a lid to stop the juice but not in my box. So I don't know if I received the returned juicer or not. I washed everything, collected (which is simple and logical), washed the beets and carrots, peeled the beets and cut off the tops of both. Very fresh, firm, smaller vegetables (about 1 inch tall). Put them together CORRECTLY, the top snaps into place on both sides. Turn it on and slowly squeeze for maximum juice. 3 small beets and 5 small carrots. Less than 1/4 cup of juice came out. Very moist pulp. Most of the pulp in the lid did not end up in the black waste bin. The side that was leaking). I tried turning it off (I switched from 1st to 2nd speed when 1st wasn't getting much juice). It didn't go off, I had to turn it off. stopped very slowly. He had a faint "burning engine" smell. I plugged it in and tried again and the same thing happened immediately. I had to turn it off. All the veggies spilled and the juice slowly dripped into the glass, but it spilled more down the sides than into the cup. Mostly just juiced a regular sized carrot and beetroot and it worked just as badly as the 2 cheaper juicers I've tried and are giving away as they weren't good enough for juicing every day like I want to do. I won't try that again. I bought stainless steel thinking that was the best quality. Not correct. Easy to use and clean. (The only reason I gave it 2 stars.) Too bad it didn't work out. I am older and have a steady income. I can't afford to throw that much money away. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
