Compared to Melomania 1, these new headphones are better, they have stronger and clearer bass. In addition, Cambridge has improved the battery life (in charger and headphones). I feel an improved soundstage and overall more pleasant sound (improved musicality, an audiophile term). Cambrdige Melomania App for Android is handy and useful, I updated the firmware in about 3 minutes. In my case, I prefer lossless music files over lossy files in order to be able to use most of Cambridge Audio's features. Finally, transparency mode is a nice new feature that lets you hear what's going on around you if you need to. Highly recommended for audiophiles looking for clear and natural sound.
