Review on GE Pro 3-Outlet Extender with 2 USB Ports: Surge Protector & Charging Station Wall Tap by Stetson Olsen

My home alarm battery died after about 8 years. When I fixed this issue with a new battery, I noticed that the existing surge protector, which had probably been there for 30 years, was quite discolored. So I decided to replace it just in case. While I typically choose the APC, CyberPower, and TrippLite brands for the surge protector because I needed to mount it directly into a wall outlet and needed a flat front connector to accommodate the transformer plug, my choices were fairly limited. This device had the necessary base protection and style that suited me. GE is a trusted brand, although not known for their surge protectors, and the Joule rating for that is very basic. But given my application for this project, it seems "good enough". Next, the transformer plug needs to be replaced, which is also old and discolored.
