It is very easy to use, it slides in and out of the rim easily making it much easier for one person to change the tyre. I used it to hold the tire on the opposite side and tried to get the bead to pull on the rim when removing. When installing, I started by pushing the bead under the rim and keeping the tire from loosening while riding. The nylon material it's made of seemed very durable and I wasn't worried about scratching my aluminum rims, it should work with chrome rims as well with no issues. Definitely a good buy.
