After losing one of my two sets of keys I went to the dealer for a replacement. They wanted about $190 for a key and a fob that they programmed for another $60. Instead, I ordered a set of two keys and two fobs from Discount Keyless for less than $35. The dealer's parts department cut 2 keys from my current key free of charge. I quickly set up the keys by first putting the original key in the ignition and turning the ignition on and then off. I immediately repeated the on/off process with new keys. This is the key setting. I then went to the dealer's service to have the remotes set up. They usually charge $60 for 1 or 2 keychains. To my surprise they didn't charge. The new keys and fobs work great, including the remote start feature. They look just like the originals, only without the GMC logo. It was a great purchase that saved hundreds of dollars even without generous bonuses from the retailer.
