Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with Nintendo Nunchuk Controller - Black by Tony Wilson

Beware of non-genuine products

Before I start, let me say that the Nunchuk I received works fine (so far). However, remember that the source you get your nunchuk from will determine how "authentic" it is. When I ordered mine, it was made through a third party called Pegasus Toys & Games for $16.99. I see it was a different provider at the time of posting. I always worry about buying genuine Nintendo accessories. In this case I don't think I got that. I won't go into detail, but here's what I did: I compared my original nunchuk that came in the box to the console. If this were a true original product, everything should look exactly the same. However, I found small or large differences in many areas with the controller that I received. Let's take string as an example. First, there is a cable mark that defines the quality/standard of the Nunchuk cable I ordered; originally unmarked. Also, where the cable meets the base of the nunchuk, the length of the cable is shorter than the original. Other differences, like the texture of the joystick and the pins in the connector, make it cheaper. Even the little book that comes with it looks like it's printed on cheaper paper (not glossy like other manuals, but still with the 'Nintendo seal' that 'proves' its authenticity). While it's worked well so far, I'm disappointed it's not exactly the same. Yes you can buy cheaper third party controllers but I was hoping to pay for the real deal. You're better off buying these things from a reputable retailer or department store (and paying $19.99 plus tax rather than trying to save a few bucks).
