Belts save nerves, time and money

Do you only need them once or for the whole winter? Long-distance adventures or more frequent use, choose models with straps. Why? I live in Minnesota where the winters are harsh. We train young people to walk like penguins and I know many people with traumatic injuries as a result of falling on the ice. I regret not having received them sooner. In deeper snow, however, they sometimes jump. And you won't notice. So, some distance away, you'll realize you've lost it and set out to find it. Go ahead, spend a few extra dollars and buy the one with the strap! Should You Make More Serious Ice Boots? I wear this for ice and dog park adventures. I don't want to take them off once I'm back on the clean sidewalk. If I was fishing regularly on ice or maybe in more rural areas with less exposed walls I would go for serious spikes.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good
