Works well enough.

I wasn't sure if I should give 3 or 4 stars but I decided to up the ante because overall it works well. I have found that if you have one computer that is having problems, the switch will stop responding on all computers. I prefer to press buttons on the device rather than using keyboard shortcuts because it allows me to navigate directly to the machine I want to use instead of traversing through it. I use it with all Windows devices (2 Win 7, 2 Win 10). I believe it switches within a reasonable amount of time. Whenever I switch, I wait about 2 seconds for the light on the unit to stop blinking to indicate it's ready. The cables that come with it are a good length (connect to the computer's VGA port and USB port and plug the other end into one of the four ports on the TK-407K. I have a laptop with VGA, which is quite a distance from the nearest USB port. connector is removed. Luckily, the cable allowed me to disconnect it (like one unzips the zip cable) to accommodate this situation. If the light on the device keeps blinking, I find I can often recover by checking each unplugging the four cables from the device and then plugging them back in. I've also found that I can recover if the other 3 devices are working, but the light for a laptop keeps flashing when I'm using the keyboard of the 'problematic' Log out laptops and then log back in. If you work with trusted computers KVM works securely. I have this unit on the right side of my desk. It stays flat and I have to Don't hold to switch between computers I can use a device and hear an audible email notification. from another. UPDATE 12/15/2016: I now have a Dell Win 7 laptop connected to port 1 and a Surface Pro 3 Win 10 to port 2. I found that switching from 2 to 1 takes about 30 seconds. Nothing happens for 15 or 20 of those seconds. Then I hear a beep from the Dell laptop and see the Port 1 LED blinking. After about 5 more seconds I can use the Dell laptop. When I switch from port 1 to port 2, it's pretty quick (within seconds). I think the delay is caused by KVM because when I switch from port 1 to port 2 it takes a good 15 seconds before I hear a tone from Dell indicating the mouse/keyboard is disabled. I have to keep in mind that the TK-407K introduces a delay before switching from port 1 to port 2. I unplugged cables from the KVM for a while to recover. Now I know I only have to wait about 30 seconds when switching from port 1 to port 2, and less time when switching from port 2 to port 1. I also think that KVM tries to communicate with the currently selected computer when switched to another one. Harbor. If the computer doesn't respond, the TK-407K goes into a locked state, which requires you to unplug the cable from the KVM and/or log off/reboot from the "problematic" machine.
