Perfect for our mini mare. We have to keep her on a leash all the time because she is a master of escape and difficult to catch. Nothing pleases her more than getting us to chase her around the yard. However, if we can grab the halter, she will immediately stop her silly antics. She left our territory several times to visit the horses on the way, and our neighbors are very grateful that we let her on the halter so that they too can catch her. I turned teal but as you can see it is now an attractive off-white to match her old halter which was originally pink. It can get dirty, but it holds up well. FYI, she's an escape from a sloppy situation, so we're glad to have her despite her annoying tendencies. UPDATE: This halter lasted almost exactly a year before wearing too much to be functional. Mind you, the Mini wears her halter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so I'd say it's held up pretty well. I bought a new one (burgundy) when the original one wore out and only realized today that the tab on the neck strap was broken. I will buy another one because I'm perfectly happy with the durability in the specific conditions on our farm. FYI, the burgundy color turns pink with prolonged exposure to the elements.
