My TREK bike has a plastic seat which is not very suitable for riding with children as I ride seated most of the time. It's a million times better than this seat and the 30 minute ride yesterday was perfect. The reason I'm giving one star for convenience is because it's heavy compared to my covered bike. So I consider this middle of the road so be aware there are softer seats than this but much better than my previous seat. In terms of assembly I had to disassemble my old seat to get it on my bike assemble and move the assembly parts. It took about 30 minutes total, not the end of the world, but I had the tools I needed to get it working.
