Perfect for storing your comforter and packing your clothes for sports travel

Luckily, winter is coming to an end in the Pacific Northwest, so it's time to stash your comforter. We usually just air it out and then loosely fold it on a shelf in a closet. This year I decided to try and save space by using one of the vacuum storage bags. Down is quite compressible so I took a chance and bought LARGE bags. These pockets are really big but after folding the king size blanket I had my doubts if the big pocket would be big enough. With a little patience, I was able to stuff the entire folded blanket inside. Then came the vacuum and as they say, voila! The fluff turned into a neat pocket the size of an ordinary pillow. Now it takes up a tiny fraction of the shelf space. We still have 4 more of these wonderful bags. I've been looking around the house for things to compress :) UPDATE: Well I didn't have to wait long to find another great use for them. Our son's lacrosse team is traveling to the East Coast for a tournament, and the team members have been ordered to pack all of their regular clothing into giant lacrosse duffel bags, along with uniforms, pillows, and gloves. Read it like PONY! I couldn't get a smaller holdall that would fit everything he needs in AND fit in a lacrosse bag. SpaceSavers came to the rescue. I packed two large items along with his clean clothes, neatly rolled or folded, and then vacuumed them. They fit together perfectly and leave enough space. I also packed a hand pump in his duffel bag so he can repack his underwear and compress it before heading home. These are very versatile bags and their use is only limited by the imagination.
