Review on EBC Brakes DP31839C Redstuff Ceramic by Brandon Gaines

These brake pads were purchased as an aftermarket option on my 2010 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG. I was skeptical of them because I had previously read on the forums that they can warp OEM/stock rotors. I wear them anyway as I've heard good things about EBC as a performance aftermarket brand in general. Done 3000 km and the brakes shake every time I press them. Took it to my performance store and had the tech take a look. He noticed that the hard coating on the brake pads had roughened the rotors, deforming them and causing the brakes to vibrate dangerously. Also, they should have LESS brake dust than stock pads, which is not true. These pads cause MORE BRAKE DUST than standard pads. Now I have to buy new OEM rotors AND brake pads which cost $1000. STAY AWAY!
