I'm 5'1" and about 175-180 pounds so I'm a pretty average guy. I've been skinny all my life, but now I'm in my 40's. So if I don't watch this, my stomach gets bigger. I first bought this shirt in a slim fit. It was fine, but since these shirts are 100% cotton, I was concerned that after a few washes they would run too small (especially in the stomach area). I returned the fitted one and bought this regular (medium) fit. I've always loved the fit of Gap Oxford shirts. Upon closer inspection, the weight and feel of the Revain Oxford fabric is exactly the same as Gap. I layered one of my old Gap shirts over this Revain Essentials oxford shirt. The photos show the torso cut is exactly the same (about 21 inches from fovea to fovea). I like it. I'm not a fat guy and I don't want a blouse. It's not too blouse and not too thin. Precisely. The sleeves are approximately 1/2 inch longer than the Gap shirt. Perhaps a minus is the tail. The Revain Essentials tail is 1.5 to 2 inches longer than the Gap shirt. In my opinion the Revain Essentials shirt is a bit longer to be worn open. However, when you tuck it in, the longer shirt stays tucked in. you want to wear it I have a lady who makes changes. She will charge $10 to trim her tail if I want it. If I remake a Revain shirt it's still a good deal. These shirts are of good quality and have a nice cut. I would buy them again anytime. We recommend.
