This is my second dust collector purchase. - The noise level is very controllable and the nature of the noise is MUCH more controllable than my previous case. - It takes up a lot of desk space so be careful multitasking with other devices. - This one Item didn't collect ALL the dust, but it did collect most of it.- I think the design is a bit imperfect; The buttons are very sensitive, and I found that the unit kept shutting itself off during serving because my hands (arched over the product) were touching the buttons. I ended up turning it so the knobs were facing away from me. (That's one of the reasons it didn't pick up all the dust.) - Very easy to fold and store in the box. - This device was more powerful than the cheaper device I bought before. I don't like to equate cost with efficiency, but that's how it was.
