I bought this speaker to replace a 15 year old Sony Dream Machine that I loved. The iLive Wireless Bluetooth System is a cheap, generic product. I have a Panasonic in another room and looking back I should have just bought a different one. I like the sleek design, light weight and compactness of this system. It fits perfectly in my bedside table. I like that there is Bluetooth. Also, it's rare to find a CD player these days, so I appreciate that. The sound quality is good, but not amazing. My two complaints are the alarm function and the pre-programming. The alarm clock beeped softly and I was more annoyed than warned to wake up. The first time I used it, I was half asleep looking for the switch. Also, there's no snooze button or multiple alarms. You cannot set an alarm for a day of the week and program it for the weekend like other digital alarm clocks. (I bought a Sony clock radio 2 days later because I couldn't take it anymore). When programming presets, you can only move forward through the presets (eg 1->10). Let's say I'm at station number 5, but I want to go to station 2, I have to go through 6, 7, 8, 9, etc. to get back to station number 2. The remote control is small but for more efficient navigation they could add another button. Except for the fact that I'm letting it, but only because I don't want to repackage it. Spend a little more and choose the best product.
