It would be GREAT if

This is a great player with amazing sound, looks very clear but after setting the clock, pairing with iPhone and computer and checking for available radio stations for gifts . I unplugged it from my computer to take to the garage. At this point everything was canceled as it doesn't have a backup battery for the price I expected to be able to move it from place to place. Well, so a handle shape for lifting would be nice. Look for those features as well as what it has, even if it means a few…

Good device for the money

Good device for the money. The radio has poor reception unless you live close to town, but I knew that before I bought it. Place it in a window and align the power cord to improve reception. Here's my opinion: The advertising sticker on the front of the device does not require any additional adhesive. It should come off easily. Why do I have to spend 10 minutes of my life trying to peel that damn sticker off the bottom of Goo Gone with my fingernail? Join the real world of iLive and use…

Bluetooth stopped working

Bought TWO of these as gifts for my kids. The main reason I chose this is the ability to use Bluetooth to connect to many devices as speakers. Having owned TWO units for several months - both can play CDs - this is really my only positive comment. Radio stations are very difficult to receive anywhere in the house. You literally have to stand by and stay in the air to pick up the station. Bluetooth pairing no longer works with devices on the 2nd device. The first unit still connects to devices…

not so good bass on Portable Audio & Video

15 years ago we bought a similar product from another company and were amazed at the bass coming out of these little speakers. Unfortunately that "died" so we've been looking for a replacement. We bought this unit thinking it would sound great (which the reviews would suggest!). But when we played our first CD (no hip hop, just modern music) and set the EQ to rock, the amount of bass was radio alarm clock level. I'm exaggerating a bit when I say this, but I think you get the picture. Also, we…

the first one was broken - replacement looks promising

The original device I received worked the first night I slept. The next night when I turned it on to play the sleep CD, there was no sound coming out of the speakers - no sound just from the CD. The sound was ok on the radio but not on the CD. I decided to replace the device and after a week overnight everything is fine. STICKER SHOCK refers to a very annoying and very difficult to remove sticker that the manufacturer puts on the front of this device. It took me at least 20 minutes to get that…

Inexpensive but inferior quality

I bought this speaker to replace a 15 year old Sony Dream Machine that I loved. The iLive Wireless Bluetooth System is a cheap, generic product. I have a Panasonic in another room and looking back I should have just bought a different one. I like the sleek design, light weight and compactness of this system. It fits perfectly in my bedside table. I like that there is Bluetooth. Also, it's rare to find a CD player these days, so I appreciate that. The sound quality is good, but not amazing. My…

Works great for our purposes; CD player for grandchildren.

Works great so far. The sound is okay for a player in this price range. It obviously doesn't compete with a $200 soundbar. He played our commercial and homemade CDs. The CD controls are a bit odd and look like they were designed by someone new to the industry. For example, you can't just insert a CD and press the play button. You must first close the disc lid and then press play. An experienced person would program it to close the lid when the play button is pressed. Another small but annoying…
