Review on ๐Ÿ”Š iLive Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System with CD Player, FM Radio - Black (iHB603B) by Alicia Neal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great for our purposes; CD player for grandchildren.

Works great so far. The sound is okay for a player in this price range. It obviously doesn't compete with a $200 soundbar. He played our commercial and homemade CDs. The CD controls are a bit odd and look like they were designed by someone new to the industry. For example, you can't just insert a CD and press the play button. You must first close the disc lid and then press play. An experienced person would program it to close the lid when the play button is pressed. Another small but annoying oversight: pressing play won't do anything when the device is off or in sleep mode; You have to turn it on, wait for it to load and then press play (assuming you left it in CD mode, otherwise you'll have to select CD mode before playing the CD). And there is no random or repeating mode; it plays once and stops. The FM radio is sensitive enough that we automatically scanned for local channels when we first turned it on. Again, it works as you would expect in this space. Haven't tried the input jack yet (none of my phones are that complicated lol). I also don't have any Bluetooth devices to connect to. One last annoying thing: the controls on the device itself are on top and are only labeled with "universal" images molded into the top of the buttons (and some of the buttons are dual-purpose, so be careful when using your pinky, lol). Since we're using it at eye level, the total lack of front view markings was a real issue until I put some stickers on the front panel. Sidebar: We had a good laugh when we realized that the IR remote that came with this device also activates the LED candle kit that we received before Christmas. So be careful where you point when you have both in that general direction! LOL It's not one on one so we still need both remotes; we just had to separate the player from the candles! LAUGH OUT LOUD
