Bought because I'm interested in bonsai and this sprayer looked cool. (Tried many different ways) To my surprise, this Mr. is from the future. The tank is actually a flexible plastic liner. It gets smaller as you use water, meaning as that tank empties, the liner shrinks to ensure the inlet and diaphragm/pressure tank are always submerged. There is a twist lock at the top. No top screw. Simply slide in and turn about 1/4 turn to secure and seal. Then the best part. Pull the trigger all the way and hold it and it will keep spraying for a second or two. It has an internal pressurized storage chamber or something. Quickly press and hold the trigger three times and it will spray continuously for about 3 seconds. Slightly pull the trigger and get a short jet. Basically, it works the same as any atomizer, but it sprays continuously when you hold the trigger and release. This. You can get permanent fog from it if you pump constantly. Wonderful. Haven't seen this technology before. Didn't work when it arrived. When this happens (it's only happened to me once so far, flooded with water and nothing happens when I pull the trigger) you need to run it. Do this by adding water, installing the top and pumping. Nothing will come out, but the long tube looks like it will fill with water and there will be bubbles in it. It's trying to work but the diaphragm is stuck or something. Now take the atomizer apart again (unscrew and remove the top) and then use your mouth to press on the membrane (shorter white plastic thing) while pulling the trigger. I think it's a stuck check valve or something. Since then it has worked flawlessly. No problem with that. So the fog quality is pretty good. It's not steam (no gentleman can!) but it's as good as the best single-pump handheld sprayer I've ever used. It's a pleasure to use and easy to refill thanks to the twist cap.
