These mittens are NOT waterproof! They get wet every time my 5 year old son goes in the snow. Within 5 minutes they are soaked.

These mittens are ideal for toddlers who find it difficult to place their thumb in the right place. Long zippers are a game changer! It no longer takes three or four tries to get my 2 year old mittens on properly.

I bought mittens for my 17 month old for the first time and it was very difficult to get my thumb in the right place. The zipper makes this much easier. So far, so good. Haven't tried tobogganing yet (little snow). I'll get back to you as soon as we do.

The best snow gloves I've found! It is easy to put on and the Velcro makes it difficult for children to take off. My 1 year old took everything off and he couldn't do that with my 3 year old.

It is very easy for my almost 4 year old to reach the thumb. We help him. For kids under 3 years old I would suggest fully open mittens that you can put your hands in. I will be buying these again when my youngest turns 3 (he is currently using the above).

We love these gloves! It's very easy for my 3 year old to get his thumbs in which was a big problem with the other gloves we have. I haven't had any problems with the zip and they have held up well all season. However, we didn't use them on a daily basis; They were there to play in the snow. I love how high they are on his wrist and how they close on the wrist. I am very happy with this purchase and my friends have also asked where I bought it.

My son is 18 months old, weighs 23 pounds and has large hands compared to most children. These aren't massive gorilla arms, but they are larger than average. The little glove is too big for him. He probably won't fit into the small well until next winter, when he's 30 months old.

These mittens came quickly, I opened them up, ripped off the tags and realized they smelled like an awful perfume smell. washed, and they still smell like that awful smell!
