Overall I am very happy with this product and I recommend buying one. We used it quite a bit on a 3-day backpacking trip and it worked well. The digging blade is a nice feature and it worked well enough to dig a small fire pit and also a few cat holes. You can swing it down into the ground and use it to cut small roots as you dig as well. The hook on the opposite end is great for pulling tent stakes. The tool is solidly built and is a bit on the heavy side, but I expect it to last for a long time and I am willing to trade a few more ounces to have to carry for a well-built piece of equipment.
