It took a few minutes to get used to the magnification and to see every pore on your face. I thought I used to do great makeup with a 3X mirror, but now I don't have to put glasses on to get help. You'll see every hair on your face, and some you wish you hadn't seen. . I have to get closer or I'll get dizzy. It took me a while to get used to the magnification but my daughter has owned this mirror for many years and insisted that I buy it. My husband, not feeling very comfortable, ended up hanging it on the wall. He was worried he wouldn't be able to find the hairpin, but it's strong. I use it with batteries to avoid the cord, but when the batteries run out I can still plug it in. I hope the LED will last a very long time. I got the bronze color to match my lamp. Make sure you have 4 C batteries handy if you want to use it without the power plug.
