I bought this laptop stand to elevate my laptop off my desk, store the external keyboard when not in use and elevate my laptop screen to the best height. to relieve the neck. The purchase price of $53.86 seemed a bit high at first, but after receiving the product and evaluating the quality, the price seems more reasonable. The stand is made of coated aluminum (or similar material). The stand has an adjustable height, a ventilated base that the laptop rests on (helps keep it cool) and a small, soft edge at the front of the stand to prevent the laptop from sliding off the base. The stand gives a feeling of solidity. doesn't feel fluffy at all. The thickness of the metal is sufficient so that there is no deflection and warping of the metal, and the loops are tight. The stand doesn't fall or sag under the weight of the 15 inch laptop I have on it. It stays at the same level for several days, even though the laptop is regularly taken off and put back on the stand. Firm enough that the stand does not sag under the weight of the laptop, the stand is still easy to adjust. Overall I have nothing negative to say about the stand other than that it would be nice if it was offered in more than one color. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
