Review on Effortlessly Navigate Your Laptop Or Desktop With The Perixx PERIPAD-501 Wired USB Touchpad by Mack Douglas

Just what I needed good for me

Unboxed the trackpad a few days ago, thinking it would turn out to be another useless gadget I threw money away on. Happy to be wrong. I wanted a trackpad to go along with a small keyboard to conserve space on my desk. I'm used to using a trackball mouse, and trackball only require a space large enough to fit the actual mouse, as it doesn't move. Due to a thumb injury, I can no longer use a trackball and purchased an ergonomic mouse. The new mouse felt great, but it requires a lot of space, space I do not really have. Solution: small keyboard and separate trackpad. This trackpad is wired, which I don't mind. It's a trade-off for having to charge a battery. People have complained in some reviews about the weird, unchangeable orientation: when the mouse is placed as shown in the seller's pictures, with the cord leading away from the user to the front, swiping horizontally causes vertical movement and vice versa. So, I changed the trackpad so the buttons are on the bottom and it works fine. The first 24 hours of use, I kept grabbing the mouse, as I was more familiar with it (I avoided trackpads on laptops). However, over the following two days, I abandoned the mouse. This trackpad has make me like trackpads. I'm even using the trackpad on my tablet now because of it. Best use of $20 I've made in a long time.
