Low quality soles on shoes
Shoes look good and fit well but the black trim on the sole and edges of the sole is wearing and turning white if you look at the inside of the carpet only minimal running. This happened to both my first pair and my spare pair after trying them on. At first I thought I stepped on white paint but no, it's just a very crappy product. I have worn many Steve Madden shoes over the years and have never had this problem.
