I like this fan, but it's full of compromises. great price and easy installation. Reliable and respected company. where do you lose; The large, deflecting vane design (although quite attractive) moves very little air. You can't feel anything underneath. As you get further away from the center, you begin to feel a very slight, gentle movement of air. You can't get this thing to move much air. I thought something was wrong, but since I installed three, I bought all three at once. Also, it's noisy. The rumble of the engine (a low, sustained hum) is very audible. Does it go away when you speak or turn on the TV? Yes, but to sleep under it (even on a low level) took a long time to get used to.
