Review on πŸŽ₯ Ravelli AVTP Professional 55" 65mm Video Camera Tripod – Ideal for Smooth & Stable Video Shooting with Fluid Drag Head by Kevin Apriando

Revainrating 4 out of 5

WORTH THE MONEY!

I wish I could give this tripod 4 and 1/2 stars but I can't so I decided to give it 4 stars instead of 5. So this is my fourth Ravelli AVTP 75mm Professional video tripod. Let's get a few things out of the way (CONS) before I get into that. CONS: YES. There are better tripods than this. YES SIR. if they removed Davis & Sanford's video head and put it on top of this. TURN OFF THE LIGHT! YES SIR. This tripod is too heavy (weighs about 11 pounds). it's 4 stars. Well, for the money (I only paid $100 for the first three I bought and I paid $156 for the fourth) this has to be one of the BEST. I'm not currently in the market to pay for a $1000 tripod. However, I needed something strong that could take a beating and carry some weight. I started building my rig and it got a bit heavy which is kind of nice because I don't take my shoulder rig off often (I have a CAME-TV Vest rig for that). But the extra weight can be great, or it can just suck, and that's been great for me. I also use two of these suction cups on my pushcart (Glide Cam). AMAZING versatility. PRO: YES. This tripod and head can support 27 pounds of weight. Yes. You read that right, 27 pounds. Haven't tested it yet BUT I gained almost 20lbs and he handled it like a champ. No wobble, just solid, BUT be careful when adjusting the ball head, the weight can slip away very quickly. YES SIR. The tripod is heavy which makes it very durable when putting something light or heavy on it. I haven't found a tripod under $600 that can handle the same weight. Really no less than $1,000. The head is good, it's AMAZING, no, BUT, it's very good. Just to be clear, I was looking for something that could grow with me, that could support weight as I built my video rig, and this tripod that could support 27 pounds was a kicker for me. You really can't beat him. Yes, you can invest in an AMAZING video head (75mm dish) and attach this suction cup to your tripod legs BUT that AMAZING video head will cost you AMAZING money. It was one of my GREAT purchases! One way to increase height is to add a dolly, but be aware that wheels can sometimes get in the way of smooth panning. For a tripod that is sturdy and can handle a lot of weight, this is a video tripod and a GREAT tripod for around $150, well that's what you need. If you find a (video tripod) that is better at this price and can handle the same (or 25lbs) weight please let me know as I haven't found one yet! Are there any other questions? Questions!
