Fits as expected but only from lower leg length. I first bought this dress (size 14) for my 10 year old daughter. She usually wears 14/16 for kids and xs for juniors. My daughter is slim but a bit tall for her age. That dress looks ridiculous on her. She ended up looking like a big kid trying to put on a dress for a little girl. For this reason I gave this dress 3 stars but kept it. I'm also a high average weight of 6 years old and the dress really suits her. An oversized dress for my 6 year old but the length is now half and the tie hides the fact that the dress is oversized.
