IT DOES NOT SEE THE PLASTIC COATING BUT IT IS REALLY WATERPROOF!

For decades I have printed and then laminated signs to announce to residents of apartment buildings that we will be testing fire alarms. The signs had to be laminated as they have to be placed in public areas inside and outside the building. Before we started laminating, most signs didn't last all day when our technicians were on site. I will not laminate anymore! It's been a very rainy year so far, but when the paper arrived there was no rain in the forecast, so I improvised, I dipped it in a plastic container about half an inch in water and left it there for about 20 minutes. When I took it out and shook it, the paper was a little curled, but dry, with a few dozen drops of water. I left the paper on the table for about an hour and apart from the paper straightening, nothing happened. The water beads did not move and did not penetrate the paper. The description lists the weight as 100# but it's not as strong as the other 100# papers I've used. I will buy a letter. Size for my next batch of signs.
